The Minnesota Association for Justice Elects New President – Josh Tuchscherer
Josh Tuchscherer becomes 71st President of the Minnesota Association for Justice
Minneapolis, MN (DATE) – The Minnesota Association for Justice (MAJ), the leading legal association dedicated to advancing the legal profession and promoting justice, is proud to announce the election of attorney Josh Tuchscherer of Meshbesher & Spence as its new President. Tuchscherer's term is effective August 14th, 2025.
Josh, a partner and trial lawyer at Meshbesher & Spence, has been an active member of MAJ for over 20 years and currently serves on the organization’s Board of Governors and Executive Committee.
He brings a wealth of experience, dedication, and a proven track record of fighting for the rights of injured individuals and families. Throughout his distinguished career, Tuchscherer has successfully represented clients in cases involving personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and defective products, recovering millions of dollars in compensation.
This commitment to justice for his clients is a hallmark of his career and a reflection of the core values of Meshbesher & Spence, a firm with a 60-year legacy of standing up for thousands of injured Minnesotans. Known for handling a broad range of personal injury claims, including truck, car, and motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, workers’ compensation, and defective medical device litigation, Meshbesher & Spence has long been a leader in advocating for clients both from its multiple Minnesota offices and on a national level.
“It’s a true privilege to serve as President of the Minnesota Association for Justice,” said Tuchscherer. “For me, this work has always been about helping people find a solid path forward after hardship. As President, I will continue to champion the rights of ordinary Minnesotans, ensuring that our courthouses remain open and accessible to all.”
Tuchscherer earned his law degree from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in 2000 and is licensed to practice in both Minnesota and Wisconsin. He is Past-President of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and a member of the American Association for Justice, and the Wisconsin Association for Justice. His work has earned him recognition as a Power 30 Attorney in Personal Injury, Super Lawyer and a Rising Star. In addition, he serves as an At-Large Member of the Minnesota Judicial Selection Commission.
About the Minnesota Association for Justice
Established in 1954 by a small group of trial lawyers, the Minnesota Association for Justice has grown into a statewide leader in civil justice. MAJ supports attorneys who represent people who have been wrongly harmed, helping them share legal strategies, shape legislation, and protect the Constitution’s promise of justice for all.
Through continuing education, policy advocacy, and a strong civil justice community, MAJ ensures that Minnesotans, not corporations, stay at the center of the legal system. In an era where powerful interests can influence laws and limit consumer protections, MAJ is committed to keeping the courtroom doors open for everyone.
